None of my blogs can be complete without the mention of my Favorite Personality Mr. Shahrukh Khan.
A self made person who started his journey from Delhi and now rules the world of
Entertainment in actual sense. He is by far the most charismatic personality I have ever seen.
Who would have thought a person who started as a lean main lead in tele serials ‘Circus’ and ‘Fauji’ will acquire such humongous success. A romantic hero par excellence he hasn’t bound himself to just romantic roles, Darr,Anjaam being some examples. He is one of those actors who can carry an average movie to become a superhit.
I just love the way he handles himself in public, he always has a joke or two up his sleeve. So when ever you watch him on any TV shows or an award ceremony you are guaranteed of some great entertainment.
The success that he enjoys is not just in the field of entertainment, he is truly a power to reckon with in India. He was recently listed in the top 50 most powerful personalities in the world by the News week. It’s a great achievement for an actor to be in that space which is predominantly meant for politicians and/or terrorists.
Being such a big superstar in a star struck country like ours, its very difficult to be out of controversies. And by and large he has conducted himself superbly notwithstanding all the detractions both in the film industry and otherwise.
How much I write about him is less, so I call upon all the shahrukh fans and even others to express their views on him.

ReplyDeleteI have personally never been a Shahrukh fan except for Swades, in which I am totally lattoo over him, coz there he is not really "Shahrukh", but only Mohan Bhargava, who I absolutely love, just for the guy that he is and coz he is without the Kkkkkkkk and the usual over-acting.
But by and large, I have always admired the man's PR skills and as you mentioned, the way he has stayed away from any kind of controversy. He is almost always politically correct and that is what works for him.
Also, among the "heroes", he is one of the very few who have worked for the 4 main directors of Bollywood today(if I may say so), Yash Chopra, Karan Johar, Rakesh Roshan and Sanjay Leela Bhansali and all of them are pretty much all praise for him all the time, along with almost all his "heroines" too.
One more thing that I admire about him is the kind of success he has achieved today without having any godfather in the film industry.
So yes Yash bhai...I do agree with almost everything you have said, but when it comes to ACTING...well, AAMIR IS THE BEST!! :)
Well...atleast u have accepted that when it comes to entertainment shahrukh is the best...and i truly admire him for that...:)

ReplyDeleteI like Shahrukh coz he tries to put his heart into making the movie. His guts and devil-cares-what-you-think attitude about Ppl's opinion about his acting. Yeah - that is my opinion, I am an Indian and India is a democratic country.

ReplyDeleteYes Shahrukh is a charmer and a crowd puller but still i would say that aamir is a person whom people worship for his dedication and his acting abilities.
ReplyDeleteI guess one bad thing that shahrukh has done is the lobbying things which he does for the awards cause i believe award should be achieved on the basis of merit not lobbying.
My comment on SRK will come up later. first Swarup, if u claim ta SRK does lobbying, boss u need to understand a few things..there have been many years where he has not won the Best Actor award... 2ndly its more of his PR skills that have made friends enuf to provide him the award.. 3rdly if sum1 is capable of lobbying i wud stand by that becoz u need to be powerful enuf to do so..tat it self is an award worth capability..and one more point,lobbying alone wont get a person a award.Its Talent mainly... i would have spoken some points to compare Aamir and SRK as well but this thread aint meant for that..Yash next subject Aamir Vs SRK wot say.....
ReplyDeleteWell i was talking about shahrukh khan mainly as an entertainer and an achiever, and to achieve something of the proportion that SRK has achieved u need to take ppl to ur side and if that is lobbying then i fully respect and admire it....bcos its his ppl skills which r exceptional that are helping him achieve that...(actually quite agree with kailas)....on aamir v/s shahrukh we can have a discussion in the future sumtime....:)...

It is almost impossible to find a person who not only Dreams but gives Full Thrust to make it come True and that tooo every day of his life.How often do you come across a person who Comes to mumbai, stays on Railway platform for a few days and ends up in Jannat today.. How many of the people u know have followed their heart to get the gal of his dream with the barrier of religion, ending up to make her his better half (supposedly).He has a charismatic personality to keep a trace in the minds of any one he comes across, so humble in gestures, alwys spreading out positive vibes JUST like me....
ReplyDeleteIn a Succesful career till now, he has managed to stay clean of any character assassination one may have attempted against him.He has been the 1st to try out many things hence setting off a trend for others.. may it be Advertising on small screen.. singing songs in own voice ( ya some people hav done that b4 him, but he kickstarted that trend again..) or even investing in IPL.in his carrer so far he has managed to make so many friends that his Orkut Profile would have the max count in the world...
In his work too he is undoubtedly the most energetic and hardworking individual making sure that its not just him but the movie which is supposed to be the best and hence helping out others especially new commers like padukone or even farah khan.
Its very difficult to find people who have a midas touch like him.Infact u wont find any1... his acads would not reflect his performance in sports he had..being one of the bettr team players of his college Football team.His smart thinking is something i dont need to comment about that do i...I remember one such instance, it was after Sharukh Khan was invited to perform in the wedding of Mittals daughter along with the likes of Beyonce and others...a press reporter later asked him.."Aap No 1 ho ke logon ki shaadi main nachne jatein ho!!" on this he Replied "Main No 1 Hu is liye muze bulaya gaya "
In short he has a long list of things we can learn from him as.... if u wan me to point out at anythng negative.. i would say his habit of Smoking... but thats a personal choice again...
